Narrative:

Changed over to 135.45. After checking in, dca center questioned where we came from and where we were going. We were then asked the designation of our departure airport. We replied cae. I then questioned center if they had a flight plan on us. They replied that it was not passed on to them. Our complete flight plan from cae to abe was repeated to the controller. It has become a common occurrence that when we are passed on from one controller to another, even within the same center, our clearance, revised clearance or new radar heading is not passed on to the next controller. This problem is very common with dca center.
