Narrative:
I was receiving a mexico city qualification on the first day of a 4 day trip. I picked up the check airman on my second leg for the flight to mexico city. His commuter flight was late; so he showed up at approximately pushback time. After a quick introduction and briefing; we pushed back for mexico city. Enroute it was clear to me that the check airman was exhibiting cold and flu like symptoms. He mentioned that he and the rest of his family had been sick for the past few days. As we approached mexico city he took a couple of tylenol. He said it was to get his temperature down for the screening the authorities were doing for h1n1 (swine flu). The following day the check airman was clearly showing the affects of being sick and being very tired. Unfortunately for me; the day after the trip was over I woke up very ill with all the same symptoms and was diagnosed that day with pneumonia and possible h1n1.
