Narrative:
In cruise we got an ECAM for hydraulic-green low quantity. The green hydraulic quantity indicated at the top of the amber bracket at the bottom of the gauge. We accomplished the ECAM; which had us turn off the ptu and green engine pump. I was pilot flying; so captain had me fly and talk while he talked to dispatch and maintenance. We agreed that a diversion was the best course of action. Captain declared an emergency and we proceeded to figure the landing distance; review the gravity gear and tow in procedures. We made an uneventful landing at the diversion airport. Had to wait about 20 minutes for the tug; which had been notified well in advance. I'd say that was the biggest glitch throughout.
