Title: A B737-300 diverted after performing an emergency descent due excessive cabin altitude. The post flight inspection revealed the aft galley door ajar although the Flight Attendants were not aware of any air noise in the vicinity.
Narrative: During cruise; the flight cabin altitude exceeded 10;000 FT and we diverted to a nearby airport.
