Narrative:
[After takeoff] we set normal takeoff power and proceeded with the departure. During the first initial turn to the left; roughly around 3000 ft; we heard a loud bang followed by a loss of thrust from the left engine. We initiated the engine fire/severe damage immediate action items and then followed that up with the QRH procedures checklist. We declared an emergency which led to a single engine approach and landing.
