Narrative:

Air carrier X, returning on a VFR flight plan to juneau, was instructed to enter the traffic pattern on a downwind for a circle to land runway 26. Due to terrain this requires a constant 30 degree bank and in the landing confign from downwind turn right around to final (180 degree turn). Just before starting this turn jnu tower cleared a twin (Y) on floats to depart the adjacent float pond to the east (opposite the direction of traffic flown) at about 3/4 of the way thru our turn from downwind to final (30 degree bank, 800 to 1000 FPM descent in landing confign) we realized the twin was deviating northeast and crossing our approach course. We were able to stay above him but our sep was only 100 to 150' vertical and 200' horizontal. My recommendation is go with the flow.

DUE TO TERRAIN THIS REQUIRES A CONSTANT 30 DEG BANK AND IN THE LNDG CONFIGN FROM DOWNWIND TURN RIGHT AROUND TO FINAL (180 DEG TURN). JUST BEFORE STARTING THIS TURN JNU TWR CLRED A TWIN (Y) ON FLOATS TO DEPART THE ADJACENT FLOAT POND TO THE EAST (OPPOSITE THE DIRECTION OF TFC FLOWN) AT ABOUT 3/4 OF THE WAY THRU OUR TURN FROM DOWNWIND TO FINAL (30 DEG BANK, 800 TO 1000 FPM DSCNT IN LNDG CONFIGN) WE REALIZED THE TWIN WAS DEVIATING NE AND XING OUR APCH COURSE. WE WERE ABLE TO STAY ABOVE HIM BUT OUR SEP WAS ONLY 100 TO 150' VERTICAL AND 200' HORIZONTAL. MY RECOMMENDATION IS GO WITH THE FLOW.
