Narrative:
Going into/exiting our gate is tight and there is no yellow taxi line on the ramp associated with the lead-in line. On the north side of the lead-in line; a stand and belt loader are normally parked. The only thing pilots have is their own eyes to judge distances to keep the aircraft clear of hazards. Our fom makes taxiing on the taxi line a priority since the captain is required to announce his intention to deviate from the taxi line. In the case of jan; there is no taxi line on the ramp; yet the available maneuver room to and from the gate is extremely limited. There are cases where pilots have misjudged distances to hazards/other aircraft and have struck those hazards/other aircraft. The situation at jan is an accident waiting to happen.a taxi line should be painted on the ramp leading to the gate lead-in lines. In the meantime; the jan briefing page should warn pilots of the lack of a taxi line to the lead-in lines and the limited maneuvering space around the gate area.
