Narrative:

Between XA00 and XC00Z; I released 24 flights; mostly northbound. In addition; at XB00Z I flight-follow flights that a fellow dispatcher has released. There was turbulence from montana to mexico and strong headwinds coming north and west bound. Pulling multiple flight plans for several releases; I got behind on a few valid times. More importantly; because I was focusing on the northbound flights; it was difficult to maintain situational awareness with flights going to chicago or going between seattle and texas. One dispatcher cannot watch that many flights over such a large geographical area. The best solution would be to have another desk open to relieve the workload.
