Narrative:
Detected an electrical odor on takeoff. The odor immediately gave us a headache. We put on our oxygen masks. We declared an emergency and prepared for an overweight landing. All appropriate check lists; procedures and notifications were performed. We were cleared to land on the center runway; but I momentarily lined up on the right runway. I realigned aircraft on the center runway and landed without further incident. All subsequent notifications were conducted.
