Narrative:
While at cruise altitude; 33;000 ft; the left engine fire warning sounded and would not silence. We declared an emergency; accomplished QRH and diverted. The only abnormal indication was left fuel temperature high. All other parameters normal. [We] landed over weight at 133.5 pounds. We landed uneventfully; confirmed no fire on the ground; briefed flight attendants and communicated with crash fire rescue equipment who followed us to the ramp.
