Narrative:
Approximately two hours into flight; noticed that the exterior door handle of forward (fwd) galley door was not closed in proper place; it was in a position of approximately 12:00 and 18:00 [clock position]. Did not notice prior to takeoff that exterior door handle was in this position. Could it have blown that way on takeoff? [I] reported it to the captain who immediately arranged to have a look at it himself. Upon arrival in our destination; [food] caterer first closed exterior door handle and then opened door; he said it was operating normally; suspects that it was not closed properly in our departure airport by caterer.
