Narrative:
At cruise red landing gear light came on. Began descent from FL280; ran QRH flew the last 150 NM with gear down. Per QRH declared emergency as precaution even though all gear indications were normal. Landed without incident. I suspect erroneous gear position lighting system.

Title: A B737-300's red landing gear warning light illuminated at cruise so the QRH procedure was completed; an emergency declared and the flight descended with normal safe gear indications.
