Narrative:
During initial climb out; engine # 4 oil pressure light initially flickered; went away; then flickered again and remained illuminated. Number 4 oil quantity gauge decreased from 5 gallons to about 1.5 gallons; number 4 throttle was retarded immediately; followed by precautionary engine shutdown in accordance with procedures. Engine temperature remained normal; engine oil pressure remained at about 38 psi. Contacted approach control; advised them of precautionary shutdown; and that no assistance was needed. Aircraft was landed at a nearby airport without further incident.

Title: B747 engine oil pressure warning light illuminated during initial climb. A precautionary engine shut down was preformed and flight diverts to a suitable airport.
