We converged over the same VOR. I saw the C172 turning to avoid me out of my back right window. We both landed and discussed the incident. The C172 was a flight instructor with his student.

Title: An SR20 student pilot reports a NMAC at 2;000 FT with a C172 over the local VOR. Both aircraft were either entering or leaving the practice area with the C172 behind and making the evasive maneuvers.
