Narrative:
Simulated engine out, left downwind, runway 14, could not make it, went for closed runway took down to 100', went around, left downwind for runway 27, full stop. Local sheriff and flight instructor thought was actual engine out. Reprimanded as to poor judgement. Uneventful except for observer complaints.

Narrative: SIMULATED ENG OUT, LEFT DOWNWIND, RWY 14, COULD NOT MAKE IT, WENT FOR CLOSED RWY TOOK DOWN TO 100', WENT AROUND, LEFT DOWNWIND FOR RWY 27, FULL STOP. LCL SHERIFF AND FLT INSTRUCTOR THOUGHT WAS ACTUAL ENG OUT. REPRIMANDED AS TO POOR JUDGEMENT. UNEVENTFUL EXCEPT FOR OBSERVER COMPLAINTS.
