Narrative:
Someone complained to an FAA inspector that I was 'flying low in a dangerous and unsafe manner.' this was approximately 16 mi south of crabtree airport over open country and very sparcely settled. On every flight I make I practice an engine out (simulated) emergency off airport approach to a landing. Because of the open pasture land east of and to the south of my daughter and son-in-law's property, I made some simulated engine out approachs, and at no time did I get below minimums, always at approach speed, and at no time was there ever any danger to anyone on the ground, nor was there ever any unsafe maneuvers. Had I been aware that this would be offensive to anyone, I would have never thought of doing this, and in the future will never do this again in the vicinity of these complainers, who undoubtedly do not know the first thing about aircraft or flying. I am not sure that this form is to be used for something like this, but I am submitting it anyway just to be sure that I am protecting myself from these kind of people.

Title: LOW LEVEL FLT PRACTICING SIMULATED EMERGENCY LNDGS DISTURBS GND OBSERVERS. REPORT TO FAA.
Narrative: SOMEONE COMPLAINED TO AN FAA INSPECTOR THAT I WAS 'FLYING LOW IN A DANGEROUS AND UNSAFE MANNER.' THIS WAS APPROX 16 MI S OF CRABTREE ARPT OVER OPEN COUNTRY AND VERY SPARCELY SETTLED. ON EVERY FLT I MAKE I PRACTICE AN ENG OUT (SIMULATED) EMER OFF ARPT APCH TO A LNDG. BECAUSE OF THE OPEN PASTURE LAND E OF AND TO THE S OF MY DAUGHTER AND SON-IN-LAW'S PROPERTY, I MADE SOME SIMULATED ENG OUT APCHS, AND AT NO TIME DID I GET BELOW MINIMUMS, ALWAYS AT APCH SPD, AND AT NO TIME WAS THERE EVER ANY DANGER TO ANYONE ON THE GND, NOR WAS THERE EVER ANY UNSAFE MANEUVERS. HAD I BEEN AWARE THAT THIS WOULD BE OFFENSIVE TO ANYONE, I WOULD HAVE NEVER THOUGHT OF DOING THIS, AND IN THE FUTURE WILL NEVER DO THIS AGAIN IN THE VICINITY OF THESE COMPLAINERS, WHO UNDOUBTEDLY DO NOT KNOW THE FIRST THING ABOUT ACFT OR FLYING. I AM NOT SURE THAT THIS FORM IS TO BE USED FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS, BUT I AM SUBMITTING IT ANYWAY JUST TO BE SURE THAT I AM PROTECTING MYSELF FROM THESE KIND OF PEOPLE.
