Narrative:
One aircraft overtook another aircraft on downwind at same altitude. This was not noticed until the C/a sounded, at which time corrective actions were taken. The assignment of both aircraft to the same altitude was an oversight on my part and not detected by me due to my attention to other duties.

Title: ACR X OVERTOOK ACR Y AT THE SAME ALT WHILE ON APCH.
Narrative: ONE ACFT OVERTOOK ANOTHER ACFT ON DOWNWIND AT SAME ALT. THIS WAS NOT NOTICED UNTIL THE C/A SOUNDED, AT WHICH TIME CORRECTIVE ACTIONS WERE TAKEN. THE ASSIGNMENT OF BOTH ACFT TO THE SAME ALT WAS AN OVERSIGHT ON MY PART AND NOT DETECTED BY ME DUE TO MY ATTN TO OTHER DUTIES.
