Narrative:

After starting, I was cleared to taxi out of hangar 12 left turn and to hold short of runway 6 to which I read back, about 20' from the holding line ground control stated (last 3 numbers of my aircraft and said cross). I replied with the last 3 numbers of my aircraft and said cleared to cross. I saw an light transport on final approach for that runway I was crossing, so I hurried across the runway. The controller said that I just crossed an active runway. I told him that he gave me a clearance to cross and nothing else was said. I believe the controller made the mistake in telling me to cross the runway. The light transport and my aircraft did not come close. He was about 100 AGL and I was at the other end of the runway.

Title: CLOSE PROX GA SMT TAXIING AND GA LTT OVER TOUCH DOWN ZONE AT THE OTHER END OF THE RWY.

Narrative: AFTER STARTING, I WAS CLRED TO TAXI OUT OF HANGAR 12 LEFT TURN AND TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 6 TO WHICH I READ BACK, ABOUT 20' FROM THE HOLDING LINE GND CTL STATED (LAST 3 NUMBERS OF MY ACFT AND SAID CROSS). I REPLIED WITH THE LAST 3 NUMBERS OF MY ACFT AND SAID CLRED TO CROSS. I SAW AN LTT ON FINAL APCH FOR THAT RWY I WAS XING, SO I HURRIED ACROSS THE RWY. THE CTLR SAID THAT I JUST CROSSED AN ACTIVE RWY. I TOLD HIM THAT HE GAVE ME A CLRNC TO CROSS AND NOTHING ELSE WAS SAID. I BELIEVE THE CTLR MADE THE MISTAKE IN TELLING ME TO CROSS THE RWY. THE LTT AND MY ACFT DID NOT COME CLOSE. HE WAS ABOUT 100 AGL AND I WAS AT THE OTHER END OF THE RWY.
