Narrative:
We contacted approach and were given the wrong altimeter setting while in moderate turbulence. While on approach to 31R we were issued a low altitude alert and we checked our instruments to verify then realized the altimeter setting was wrong. We continued without further incident.

Title: When an EMB145 flight crew received a low altitude alert from the Tower while on approach they discovered the QNH setting from Approach Control was inaccurate. They then set the correct setting and continued without further incident.
Narrative: We contacted Approach and were given the wrong altimeter setting while in moderate turbulence. While on approach to 31R we were issued a low altitude alert and we checked our instruments to verify then realized the altimeter setting was wrong. We continued without further incident.
