Narrative:
Flying direct from san to petis about abeam march AFB we flew directly over an ultralight. We never saw it until we were right on top of it. A turn to right was executed and rate of descent stopped. Terrain avoidance warning went off. Ont approach did not have him on scope. Ultralight had to beat 4000' reported above to ont approach. The ultralight was traveling same direction as we were.

Narrative: FLYING DIRECT FROM SAN TO PETIS ABOUT ABEAM MARCH AFB WE FLEW DIRECTLY OVER AN ULTRALIGHT. WE NEVER SAW IT UNTIL WE WERE RIGHT ON TOP OF IT. A TURN TO RIGHT WAS EXECUTED AND RATE OF DSCNT STOPPED. TERRAIN AVOIDANCE WARNING WENT OFF. ONT APCH DID NOT HAVE HIM ON SCOPE. ULTRALIGHT HAD TO BEAT 4000' REPORTED ABOVE TO ONT APCH. THE ULTRALIGHT WAS TRAVELING SAME DIRECTION AS WE WERE.
