Narrative:
At 3000 feet level just intercepted the finial approach course. Tower advised us of traffic climbing below us to 2500 feet we had visual contact and could see him on our TCAS. When he was 400 feet below us we got a TCAS RA to climb. We disconnected the autopilot and auto throttles started to pitch up for a climb and the warning went away. We climbed to 3100 feet then went right back to 3000 feet. The TCAS warning was active for only 2-3 seconds traffic separation was never a problem we could see him visually.aircraft below was off his altitude by 100 feet.
