Narrative:

3 erratic reports of pns' only ILS system. ILS system was later shut down and called unusable. The ILS system gives problems every time we have rains and storms. This is the critical time when the system is needed. We now have only NDB approach and VOR approach to this airport with high minimums resulting in numerous missed approachs over the last yr or so and even cancelled flts. The system is just old and needs to be replaced.

Title: REPORTER CLAIMS THAT ILS SYSTEM IS UNRELIABLE DURING ADVERSE WX CONDITIONS AND FREQUENTLY BECOMES UNUSABLE.

Narrative: 3 ERRATIC RPTS OF PNS' ONLY ILS SYS. ILS SYS WAS LATER SHUT DOWN AND CALLED UNUSABLE. THE ILS SYS GIVES PROBS EVERY TIME WE HAVE RAINS AND STORMS. THIS IS THE CRITICAL TIME WHEN THE SYS IS NEEDED. WE NOW HAVE ONLY NDB APCH AND VOR APCH TO THIS ARPT WITH HIGH MINIMUMS RESULTING IN NUMEROUS MISSED APCHS OVER THE LAST YR OR SO AND EVEN CANCELLED FLTS. THE SYS IS JUST OLD AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.
