Narrative:

In VMC, we were on a heading of 060 degree to intercept the kenton 271 degree radial. We were cleared to climb to 16000'. As we climbed through 12000', at approximately 2000 FPM, the controller called traffic at 1 O'clock, at 12500'. When we spotted the traffic, which was almost simultaneous with the callout, the traffic was at 12 O'clock, head-on to us. We nosed the airplane over. We estimate that we missed the other airplane by 100-200'. The other airplane was a twin propeller. He was transponder equipped and was VFR. He took no evasive action. He passed directly over us.
