Narrative:
First time for myself and the first officer flying into clt. Arrived at night. We both found it very difficult to navigate on the ramp while taxiing. The clt company terminal chart diagram; page 10-7Z; offered little assistance. The clt terminal chart; jeppesen page 10-7Z; does not show any of the inner and outer taxi lines on the ramp. It is poorly illustrated and could be much improved. None of the 20 plus spots are depicted on the terminal chart either. They are only on the airport diagram; page 10-9 [and 10-9B]. With inner and outer taxi lines being utilized on the ramp; and aircraft passing each other; wing tip to wing tip; it is extremely important that these lines are clearly depicted on the terminal chart. It would be very helpful if this page was reissued with redrawn with inner and outer taxi lines depicted; as well as all of the spot numbers on the ramp shown on this page.
