Narrative:
Established on the ILS approach runway 29 at oak, flaps 40 degree. At 600' AGL the tower directed us (medium large transport X) to go missed approach. The captain acknowledged and said we were going missed approach and asked why. The controller stated that there was back taxi and in position traffic. The tower then tried to raise aircraft Y traffic. As we executed the go around we received no further instructions. We executed the published missed approach instructions for the ILS runway 29. As we completed the turn out from oak the captain requested an approach frequency. Tower gave us the frequency with no other instructions. Sfo departure handled us and set us up for the second approach. They had not been informed of our missed approach and it might have caused a traffic conflict for them. I think that this might have happened due to oak tower being concerned about the problems on runway 29 and not giving us instructions that sfo departure was expecting.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: ACR MLG TWR COMMANDED GO AROUND NOT COORD WITH BAY TRACON.
Narrative: ESTABLISHED ON THE ILS APCH RWY 29 AT OAK, FLAPS 40 DEG. AT 600' AGL THE TWR DIRECTED US (MLG X) TO GO MISSED APCH. THE CAPT ACKNOWLEDGED AND SAID WE WERE GOING MISSED APCH AND ASKED WHY. THE CTLR STATED THAT THERE WAS BACK TAXI AND IN POS TFC. THE TWR THEN TRIED TO RAISE ACFT Y TFC. AS WE EXECUTED THE GO AROUND WE RECEIVED NO FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS. WE EXECUTED THE PUBLISHED MISSED APCH INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE ILS RWY 29. AS WE COMPLETED THE TURN OUT FROM OAK THE CAPT REQUESTED AN APCH FREQ. TWR GAVE US THE FREQ WITH NO OTHER INSTRUCTIONS. SFO DEP HANDLED US AND SET US UP FOR THE SECOND APCH. THEY HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF OUR MISSED APCH AND IT MIGHT HAVE CAUSED A TFC CONFLICT FOR THEM. I THINK THAT THIS MIGHT HAVE HAPPENED DUE TO OAK TWR BEING CONCERNED ABOUT THE PROBS ON RWY 29 AND NOT GIVING US INSTRUCTIONS THAT SFO DEP WAS EXPECTING.
