Narrative:
Arrival at aircraft late due to late arrival from previous flight. Aircraft had just been towed to gate from hangar. During very hurried preflight we inadvertently left the pressurization valve in manual (which will not pressurize the aircraft). The captain started reading the checklist before I was ready and missed the error. After takeoff we could not pressurize the aircraft, and returned for landing where the error was discovered. Three times during the preflight and checklist reading I wanted to stop the captain and tell him to slow down. But pride kept me from doing this. I feel that the captain was over confident in his attitude about the aircraft. In the future I will not hesitate to tell the captain that I do not like his attitude or functioning in the aircraft. This was a stupid mistake. The captain was stupid and I was stupid.

Title: ACR CREW ON LATE START MISSES CHECKLIST ITEM INVOLVING PRESSURIZATION VALVE. RETURN TO LAND.
Narrative: ARR AT ACFT LATE DUE TO LATE ARR FROM PREVIOUS FLT. ACFT HAD JUST BEEN TOWED TO GATE FROM HANGAR. DURING VERY HURRIED PREFLT WE INADVERTENTLY LEFT THE PRESSURIZATION VALVE IN MANUAL (WHICH WILL NOT PRESSURIZE THE ACFT). THE CAPT STARTED READING THE CHKLIST BEFORE I WAS READY AND MISSED THE ERROR. AFTER TKOF WE COULD NOT PRESSURIZE THE ACFT, AND RETURNED FOR LNDG WHERE THE ERROR WAS DISCOVERED. THREE TIMES DURING THE PREFLT AND CHKLIST READING I WANTED TO STOP THE CAPT AND TELL HIM TO SLOW DOWN. BUT PRIDE KEPT ME FROM DOING THIS. I FEEL THAT THE CAPT WAS OVER CONFIDENT IN HIS ATTITUDE ABOUT THE ACFT. IN THE FUTURE I WILL NOT HESITATE TO TELL THE CAPT THAT I DO NOT LIKE HIS ATTITUDE OR FUNCTIONING IN THE ACFT. THIS WAS A STUPID MISTAKE. THE CAPT WAS STUPID AND I WAS STUPID.
