Narrative:
Aircraft returned to our gate due to high pressure valve on #1 engine fault. Plane returned and there was a group of 5 mechanics that were working the turn back. We deferred the hp valve on number 1 engine and locked out the thrust reverser per the MEL. I went up and complied with the paperwork in the logbook to speed up the process. We ended up locking out the wrong valve.try to make the pictures in the MEL clearer on the location of components.
