Narrative:
While en route from pqi to pwm. An undetermined noise was noticed. Upon examination of aircraft and INS from cockpit, nothing appeared abnormal. Flight ended west/O incident. Upon examination of aircraft on ground, found approximately 5-6' of right elevator covering (ennox) was missing. Complete preflight was done prior to flight. Suspect old covering or improper application.

Title: COMMUTER SMT FLT CREW NOTICED STRANGE NOISE AT CRUISE ALT. POSTFLT INSPECTION REVEALED SOME ELEVATOR FABRIC HAD TORN OFF.
Narrative: WHILE ENRTE FROM PQI TO PWM. AN UNDETERMINED NOISE WAS NOTICED. UPON EXAMINATION OF ACFT AND INS FROM COCKPIT, NOTHING APPEARED ABNORMAL. FLT ENDED W/O INCIDENT. UPON EXAMINATION OF ACFT ON GND, FOUND APPROX 5-6' OF RIGHT ELEVATOR COVERING (ENNOX) WAS MISSING. COMPLETE PREFLT WAS DONE PRIOR TO FLT. SUSPECT OLD COVERING OR IMPROPER APPLICATION.
