Narrative:
17 mi nnw of idp I lost the left engine. ZKC vectored me to idp. I was on short final and above G/south. When I slightly retarded throttle on #2 engine, it quit also. I brought throttle back up and that didn't help. I landed short of the runway missing a ditch, saving the people in the plane. The nose gear collapsed and slight propeller damage was all that incurred. The people on board were asked several time in the next 1/2 hour if they were all right, and both replied yes. Later after the ambulance arrived, one said his back hurt. Upon examination he was said to have muscle spasms due to tension.
