Narrative:
Flight was cleared to taxi from the gate to runway 30R to hold short of runway 30L. The ground controller was busy and talking very fast. We taxied to hold short of runway 30L and were blocked by another aircraft, at that time the controller said we had missed our taxiway and could we make a 180 degree turn, which we did. He then indicated that he could get us out soon from the intersection of taxiway right. His next instructions were to turn right on right cross runway 30L and to contact the tower for departure from runway 30R. After crossing the tower told us we were not cleared across runway 30L. At no time during taxi was our departure runway changed nor did we readback a runway change. Additionally at no time was there a conflict with other aircraft as we were crossing runway 30L.

Narrative: FLT WAS CLRED TO TAXI FROM THE GATE TO RWY 30R TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 30L. THE GND CTLR WAS BUSY AND TALKING VERY FAST. WE TAXIED TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 30L AND WERE BLOCKED BY ANOTHER ACFT, AT THAT TIME THE CTLR SAID WE HAD MISSED OUR TXWY AND COULD WE MAKE A 180 DEG TURN, WHICH WE DID. HE THEN INDICATED THAT HE COULD GET US OUT SOON FROM THE INTXN OF TXWY R. HIS NEXT INSTRUCTIONS WERE TO TURN RIGHT ON R CROSS RWY 30L AND TO CONTACT THE TWR FOR DEP FROM RWY 30R. AFTER XING THE TWR TOLD US WE WERE NOT CLRED ACROSS RWY 30L. AT NO TIME DURING TAXI WAS OUR DEP RWY CHANGED NOR DID WE READBACK A RWY CHANGE. ADDITIONALLY AT NO TIME WAS THERE A CONFLICT WITH OTHER ACFT AS WE WERE XING RWY 30L.
