Narrative:
Aircraft was on parting ramp, pilot was beginning to prepare for taxi. Aircraft engine was started and emergency brake set in accordance with checklist. Pilot turned to rear seat to get frequency for airport ATIS clearance to get permission to taxi. It appears that the emergency brake became dislodged by pilot's knee during this action. Aircraft started to roll forward and struck the aircraft parked in front (Y), before corrective action could be taken.
