Narrative:

I was landing at deer valley airport. Cleared to land runway 7L. A helicopter was practicing takeoff and lndgs in the ramp area at the northwest corner of the field adjacent to approach end of runway 7L. I was engrossed in watching helicopter for possible conflict and landed on the taxiway rather than on runway 7L. Possible contributing factor was that taxiway extends west of approach end of runway 7L.

Narrative: I WAS LNDG AT DEER VALLEY ARPT. CLRED TO LAND RWY 7L. A HELI WAS PRACTICING TKOF AND LNDGS IN THE RAMP AREA AT THE NW CORNER OF THE FIELD ADJACENT TO APCH END OF RWY 7L.
