Narrative:
Pilot attending to radio reset and chart locating and communicating with FBO unicom. Signing off with troatdale tower. Other aircraft Y may also have been busy with radio work as he was headed south penetrating portland's arsa etc. I made a hard pull up and left turn to avoid collision with small aircraft Y. Gear up, closing speed estimated at 350 mph. Corrective action would be more eyes outside aircraft, better vigilance searching for other aircraft.
