Narrative:
Climbing out of ewr en route to syr departure directed us to make a hard left turn as we were intercepting J95. There was apparently a conflict with an air carrier Z aircraft who was directed to level off at 15000'. Neither of us could come up with an explanation as to the nature of the conflict. Suffice it to say we will increase our vigilance if we were at fault.
