Both pilots were busy preparing for takeoff and captain taxiing past approach ground of runway 21C onto taxiway J and had to make a turn around on unmaintained taxiway in front of an air carrier hangar. Supplemental information from acn 163784. There is no runway 31C sign on left side of taxiway X.
