Narrative:
I received a call from a crew regarding their [time limit] en route. Called tracking to verify. Yes; crew was over their [time limit] by 23 minutes due to ATC reroute of 402 miles from their original route. I did not get an alert about [time limit]; so I asked the crew to take reroute and then ask for short cut once they get airborne just to get them off ground. The crew did and called regarding the reroute but did not advise the dispatcher of being close to their [time limit] nor did I get an alert on my printer screen of [time limit].
