Narrative:
While being marshalled to parking (early in morning and sun was in the marshaller's eyes), aircraft stopped short of desired parking spot, so I advanced left throttle. As the left engine spooled up, marshaller signalled, 'stop.' I pulled throttle back to idle (aircraft had not moved). Then marshaller motioned me forward again, so I advanced throttle and began moving and felt a bump or shudder as aircraft struck over-eager fuel truck that had moved into position when the aircraft stopped initially. Correction action: ground service personnel need to monitor aircraft beacon (which was on) before moving. Better training for marshallers/service crews.
