Narrative:
Flew normal IFR flight with 3 approachs. As we prepared to lower the gear during last approach, noticed the green 'gear dn' light was on, as well as the amber 'gear up' light. Pressing the green light caused it to flicker a bit, but it stayed on. The gear was extended, and all indications were normal. Both mains were visually checked in position and the nose gear via the mirror. We landed west/O further troubleshooting due to a trw approaching the field. Normal hydraulic pressure appeared to be present. After normal landing and taxi, I wrote up the problem in the club maintenance log and left a message on the club answering machine that, 'that green light stays on with gear up or down--otherwise gear works ok.' this was for mechanic's and member's information. Several days later another club member attempted to take an FAA 609 check, knowing about the write-up, saying he thought it would be ok since I said, 'otherwise the gear works ok.' I didn't ground it since a maintenance person was working on it.

AFTER NORMAL LNDG AND TAXI, I WROTE UP THE PROB IN THE CLUB MAINT LOG AND LEFT A MESSAGE ON THE CLUB ANSWERING MACHINE THAT, 'THAT GREEN LIGHT STAYS ON WITH GEAR UP OR DOWN--OTHERWISE GEAR WORKS OK.' THIS WAS FOR MECH'S AND MEMBER'S INFO. SEVERAL DAYS LATER ANOTHER CLUB MEMBER ATTEMPTED TO TAKE AN FAA 609 CHK, KNOWING ABOUT THE WRITE-UP, SAYING HE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE OK SINCE I SAID, 'OTHERWISE THE GEAR WORKS OK.' I DIDN'T GND IT SINCE A MAINT PERSON WAS WORKING ON IT.
