Narrative:

On this late afternoon flight, I decided to go and do a few touch and go lndgs. I looked at the windsock on the field and noticed the wind was out of the northeast. I decided to taxi out to runway 02. I announced my intentions and proceeded to taxi out. As I was taxiing out, a commuter type twin turbo propeller announced he was on an 8 mi final for 20. On the taxiway I waited for the inbound aircraft. As the commuter cleared the runway, he thanked me for waiting and taxied to the terminal. I acknowledged the commuter's thanks and stated that I was departing runway 02 and turning left back into the pattern. A normal takeoff followed and I turned left back into the pattern. This landing was fine, and I took back off into the left pattern for runway 02 and announced my position throughout the entire pattern. As I turned final for 02, the commuter aircraft announced they were taxiing out to 20. I had just reported final for 02. I proceeded to go on and finish my approach. I kept an eye on the other end of the runway and noticed that the commuter aircraft did not stop at the taxiway threshold and came right onto the opposing runway 20 and started his takeoff roll. At this time I was committed to my landing and realized he did not acknowledge that I had just landed, so I turned on my landing light and expedited, getting off on the closest taxiway. The commuter shut down, stopped and turned back to backtaxi to 20 and proceeded to take off. As they took off, the pilot asked for my north# in an irritated tone of voice. I gave it to him. He certainly should have stopped at the taxiway threshold and looked for traffic before just blasting out onto the runway, as well as announcing his intention! I talked to other pilots that were in the area and they heard me fine and understood my intentions. The pilot called me later and we discussed what had happened. I feel that we both blame each other for the misunderstanding. At this time there was no one working at the radio of the FBO--that might be a factor. Overall, I feel that these commuters sometimes make hasty departures west/O considering the other traffic in the area.

Title: SMA DOING TOUCH AND GO'S HAS CONFLICT WITH COMMUTER DEPARTING OPPOSITE DIRECTION.

Narrative: ON THIS LATE AFTERNOON FLT, I DECIDED TO GO AND DO A FEW TOUCH AND GO LNDGS. I LOOKED AT THE WINDSOCK ON THE FIELD AND NOTICED THE WIND WAS OUT OF THE NE. I DECIDED TO TAXI OUT TO RWY 02. I ANNOUNCED MY INTENTIONS AND PROCEEDED TO TAXI OUT. AS I WAS TAXIING OUT, A COMMUTER TYPE TWIN TURBO PROP ANNOUNCED HE WAS ON AN 8 MI FINAL FOR 20. ON THE TXWY I WAITED FOR THE INBND ACFT. AS THE COMMUTER CLRED THE RWY, HE THANKED ME FOR WAITING AND TAXIED TO THE TERMINAL. I ACKNOWLEDGED THE COMMUTER'S THANKS AND STATED THAT I WAS DEPARTING RWY 02 AND TURNING LEFT BACK INTO THE PATTERN. A NORMAL TKOF FOLLOWED AND I TURNED LEFT BACK INTO THE PATTERN. THIS LNDG WAS FINE, AND I TOOK BACK OFF INTO THE LEFT PATTERN FOR RWY 02 AND ANNOUNCED MY POS THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE PATTERN. AS I TURNED FINAL FOR 02, THE COMMUTER ACFT ANNOUNCED THEY WERE TAXIING OUT TO 20. I HAD JUST RPTED FINAL FOR 02. I PROCEEDED TO GO ON AND FINISH MY APCH. I KEPT AN EYE ON THE OTHER END OF THE RWY AND NOTICED THAT THE COMMUTER ACFT DID NOT STOP AT THE TXWY THRESHOLD AND CAME RIGHT ONTO THE OPPOSING RWY 20 AND STARTED HIS TKOF ROLL. AT THIS TIME I WAS COMMITTED TO MY LNDG AND REALIZED HE DID NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAD JUST LANDED, SO I TURNED ON MY LNDG LIGHT AND EXPEDITED, GETTING OFF ON THE CLOSEST TXWY. THE COMMUTER SHUT DOWN, STOPPED AND TURNED BACK TO BACKTAXI TO 20 AND PROCEEDED TO TAKE OFF. AS THEY TOOK OFF, THE PLT ASKED FOR MY N# IN AN IRRITATED TONE OF VOICE. I GAVE IT TO HIM. HE CERTAINLY SHOULD HAVE STOPPED AT THE TXWY THRESHOLD AND LOOKED FOR TFC BEFORE JUST BLASTING OUT ONTO THE RWY, AS WELL AS ANNOUNCING HIS INTENTION! I TALKED TO OTHER PLTS THAT WERE IN THE AREA AND THEY HEARD ME FINE AND UNDERSTOOD MY INTENTIONS. THE PLT CALLED ME LATER AND WE DISCUSSED WHAT HAD HAPPENED. I FEEL THAT WE BOTH BLAME EACH OTHER FOR THE MISUNDERSTANDING. AT THIS TIME THERE WAS NO ONE WORKING AT THE RADIO OF THE FBO--THAT MIGHT BE A FACTOR. OVERALL, I FEEL THAT THESE COMMUTERS SOMETIMES MAKE HASTY DEPS W/O CONSIDERING THE OTHER TFC IN THE AREA.
