Narrative:
Upon departing tus's runway 11L and experiencing positive rate of climb, gear was raised. On gear retraction we experienced total loss of 'a' system hydraulics with the right main gear remaining down, left main and nose gear up and locked. Requested return to tus, declared emergency and performed hydraulic loss action steps and hydraulic followup checklists. Normal 15 degree flap landing on runway 11L. Towed aircraft to gate.
