Narrative:
TCASII traffic alert followed by TCASII RA climb. Observed TCASII traffic 10:30 O'clock position 2000 ft below and climbing. Continued to monitor traffic climb and received the TA when intruder was 10:30 O'clock approximately 5 mi range 900 ft below and climbing. Received the TCASII RA when intruder was at 10:30 O'clock position 2 1/2 mi 500 ft below climbing. We were leveled at 7000 ft assigned 25 mi north of sparta VOR sbound. Accomplished positive pull up per TCASII RA climb command. After pull up was started I saw the intruder visually at approximately 9 O'clock less than 2 mi approximately 300 ft below wbound. The intruder appeared to be a light twin. It passed below and slightly behind. We advised ATC of the TCASII RA resulted in climb to 8000 ft and returned to 7000 ft when clear of traffic. Unclr if intruder was VFR or IFR.

Title: ACR MLG ALT DEV EXCURSION FROM CLRNC ALT IN RESPONSE TO TCASII RA.
Narrative: TCASII TFC ALERT FOLLOWED BY TCASII RA CLB. OBSERVED TCASII TFC 10:30 O'CLOCK POS 2000 FT BELOW AND CLBING. CONTINUED TO MONITOR TFC CLB AND RECEIVED THE TA WHEN INTRUDER WAS 10:30 O'CLOCK APPROX 5 MI RANGE 900 FT BELOW AND CLBING. RECEIVED THE TCASII RA WHEN INTRUDER WAS AT 10:30 O'CLOCK POS 2 1/2 MI 500 FT BELOW CLBING. WE WERE LEVELED AT 7000 FT ASSIGNED 25 MI N OF SPARTA VOR SBOUND. ACCOMPLISHED POSITIVE PULL UP PER TCASII RA CLB COMMAND. AFTER PULL UP WAS STARTED I SAW THE INTRUDER VISUALLY AT APPROX 9 O'CLOCK LESS THAN 2 MI APPROX 300 FT BELOW WBOUND. THE INTRUDER APPEARED TO BE A LIGHT TWIN. IT PASSED BELOW AND SLIGHTLY BEHIND. WE ADVISED ATC OF THE TCASII RA RESULTED IN CLB TO 8000 FT AND RETURNED TO 7000 FT WHEN CLR OF TFC. UNCLR IF INTRUDER WAS VFR OR IFR.
