Narrative:
The flight crew was to ferry medium large transport aircraft from den to dfw. The aircraft was parked in a remote location opposite gate xy about 100 ft in front of a blast fence. We started left engine and aborted the start due to a hung start. We restarted the engine and increased power to 65 percent N2 in order to stabilize engine as per company procedure. (Normal engine idle speed is 50-61 percent N2.) after starting right engine we taxied out with idle power. We were then notified by ground control we had blown 2 blast fence panels loose. I really don't understand how the fence panels were damaged since we were an adequate distance from the fence and idle power was used for taxi out.
