Narrative:
Aircraft was taxied into jfk, gate at domestic terminal. A food (?) truck was observed with a possible conflict with the left wing tip. The aircraft was stopped by the captain. Maintenance ground personnel provided a wing walker giving the thumbs up signal, whereby the captain continued taxiing the aircraft into the gate. All crew exited the aircraft and continued to the next flight assignment. We (the cockpit crew) were advised the next day that a wing tip had been struck.
