Narrative:
Approach control for the las vegas TCA put me on a wide left base for north las vegas airport runway 25 and directed me to contact the tower. I contacted the tower and was cleared to land on runway 25. While on the crosswind I completed my landing checklist, extended 10 degree flaps and lowered the landing gear. When I turned to my final approach heading the setting sun was directly in my eyes. I observed the full length of the runway and the taxiway and determined that they were clear of traffic. I directed my attention to a pole line on final approach and after clearing this obstacle I concentrated my attention on the landing and my flare. As I touched down near the approach end of the parallel taxiway I observed an aircraft enter the other end some 4000 ft ahead. I slowed to a stop when the air traffic controller directed me to continue to parking stating that the other aircraft was clear. There was no hazard to the other aircraft. The airport is currently being reconstructed. There are no reils, VASI, or numbers on runway 25. Both the runway and the taxiway are black top. The sun did create a visual problem. The runway and the taxiway have much less than standard separation.

Title: SMA PLT LANDED ON TAXIWAY.
Narrative: APCH CTL FOR THE LAS VEGAS TCA PUT ME ON A WIDE L BASE FOR N LAS VEGAS ARPT RWY 25 AND DIRECTED ME TO CONTACT THE TWR. I CONTACTED THE TWR AND WAS CLRED TO LAND ON RWY 25. WHILE ON THE XWIND I COMPLETED MY LNDG CHKLIST, EXTENDED 10 DEG FLAPS AND LOWERED THE LNDG GEAR. WHEN I TURNED TO MY FINAL APCH HDG THE SETTING SUN WAS DIRECTLY IN MY EYES. I OBSERVED THE FULL LENGTH OF THE RWY AND THE TAXIWAY AND DETERMINED THAT THEY WERE CLR OF TFC. I DIRECTED MY ATTN TO A POLE LINE ON FINAL APCH AND AFTER CLRING THIS OBSTACLE I CONCENTRATED MY ATTN ON THE LNDG AND MY FLARE. AS I TOUCHED DOWN NEAR THE APCH END OF THE PARALLEL TAXIWAY I OBSERVED AN ACFT ENTER THE OTHER END SOME 4000 FT AHEAD. I SLOWED TO A STOP WHEN THE AIR TFC CTLR DIRECTED ME TO CONTINUE TO PARKING STATING THAT THE OTHER ACFT WAS CLR. THERE WAS NO HAZARD TO THE OTHER ACFT. THE ARPT IS CURRENTLY BEING RECONSTRUCTED. THERE ARE NO REILS, VASI, OR NUMBERS ON RWY 25. BOTH THE RWY AND THE TAXIWAY ARE BLACK TOP. THE SUN DID CREATE A VISUAL PROBLEM. THE RWY AND THE TAXIWAY HAVE MUCH LESS THAN STANDARD SEPARATION.
