Narrative:
While climbing through approximately 4500 ft, TCASII system displayed red solid box at approximately 2 1/2 NM at 2 O'clock. Vertical speed prompted a climb of 1000-1500 FPM with voice command 'climb.' at approximately 5600 ft voice advisory sounded 'clear of traffic.' assigned altitude was 5000 ft. No visual sighting on TCASII warning target. Visual contact was made with other traffic reported by ATC at approximately 1 O'clock 5-10 NM.

Title: ACR MLG ALTDEV EXCURSION FROM CLRNC ALT IN RESPONSE TO TCASII RA.
Narrative: WHILE CLBING THROUGH APPROX 4500 FT, TCASII SYS DISPLAYED RED SOLID BOX AT APPROX 2 1/2 NM AT 2 O'CLOCK. VERT SPD PROMPTED A CLB OF 1000-1500 FPM WITH VOICE COMMAND 'CLB.' AT APPROX 5600 FT VOICE ADVISORY SOUNDED 'CLR OF TFC.' ASSIGNED ALT WAS 5000 FT. NO VISUAL SIGHTING ON TCASII WARNING TARGET. VISUAL CONTACT WAS MADE WITH OTHER TFC RPTED BY ATC AT APPROX 1 O'CLOCK 5-10 NM.
