Narrative:
Level at 10000 MSL on boids 1 at approximately bpr 108 degree 110 DME at bpr 108/18 DME approach said we should be at 11000 MSL. We thought we were cleared to 10000 by fort worth center and are certain that when we checked on with regional approach we informed them we were descending to 10000. Factors: I (PNF) was off ATC radio longer than normal to call in ACARS inoperative to maintenance, to get ATIS and our closeout from company. West coast crew with early wake probably contributed to my lack of awareness that the 'normal' altitude was 11000 and to question that altitude after returning to my ATC radio duties. Both the captain and I thought we were cleared by fort worth to 10000. A profile descent would simplify the required ATC communication for this 'normal' arrival reducing pilot and controller workload.
