Narrative:
I was cleared for a visual approach to runway 34 at slc and followed the ILS steering to the runway. I was stabilized on course, on GS, on speed and continued this way to the flare. The so made standard RA callouts. I began retarding power slowly at 50-40 ft and started a slow flare at 30 ft. I had a slight level off at 10 ft and eased it down from there. Nose attitude seemed slightly high but not abnormally high. Touchdown seemed normal, not a squeaker but not rough either. Normal taxi in and shutdown were accomplished. We were informed of the tail skid damage by maintenance. We did note a speed donut discrepancy between captain and first officer speed donuts on approach. When my (captain's) donut was on speed, the first officer's donut was about 5 KTS slow. I flew with my donut slightly fast to compensate.

Title: ACR WDB TAIL SKID STRIKE ON LNDG AT SLC.
Narrative: I WAS CLRED FOR A VISUAL APCH TO RWY 34 AT SLC AND FOLLOWED THE ILS STEERING TO THE RWY. I WAS STABILIZED ON COURSE, ON GS, ON SPD AND CONTINUED THIS WAY TO THE FLARE. THE SO MADE STANDARD RA CALLOUTS. I BEGAN RETARDING PWR SLOWLY AT 50-40 FT AND STARTED A SLOW FLARE AT 30 FT. WE WERE INFORMED OF THE TAIL SKID DAMAGE BY MAINT. WE DID NOTE A SPD DONUT DISCREPANCY BTWN CAPT AND FO SPD DONUTS ON APCH. WHEN MY (CAPT'S) DONUT WAS ON SPD, THE FO'S DONUT WAS ABOUT 5 KTS SLOW. I FLEW WITH MY DONUT SLIGHTLY FAST TO COMPENSATE.
