Narrative:
On radar vectors through denver TCA we were given a climb to 20000 ft. A turn vector was also given, and while I was explaining to the instrument student who was flying, he inadvertently climbed through the assigned altitude to approximately 20400 ft. ATC reminded us of altitude assignment and we promptly corrected. Closer attention to all aspects of flight should prevent future occurrences.

Narrative: ON RADAR VECTORS THROUGH DENVER TCA WE WERE GIVEN A CLB TO 20000 FT. A TURN VECTOR WAS ALSO GIVEN, AND WHILE I WAS EXPLAINING TO THE INST STUDENT WHO WAS FLYING, HE INADVERTENTLY CLBED THROUGH THE ASSIGNED ALT TO APPROX 20400 FT. ATC REMINDED US OF ALT ASSIGNMENT AND WE PROMPTLY CORRECTED. CLOSER ATTN TO ALL ASPECTS OF FLT SHOULD PREVENT FUTURE OCCURRENCES.
