Narrative:

Working the north high sector at dulles (position decombined) with WX moving into the area and severe thunderstorms and vectoring (within the XX00 hour) 12 aircraft or so through the WX. I received over mrb for bwi, air carrier X needed to deviate for WX and wouldn't turn towards the filed route, the deviation was approved. As air carrier X progressed many point outs and appreq's were necessary to ensure separation from other surrounding sectors. A center controller had called on the land line and reminded me of the area being active (R-4009) to 12500 and air carrier X was at 11000. I told him I forgot about it being active. I guess after working these aircraft through the WX and not really being able to go on course in the heat of the moment I forgot about the R-4009. Also, an arrival rush from ZNY was in progress and it was another sector to coordination with, ny was descending from fl's to 10000 and I was deviating at 11000. It was very complex and complicated with WX and deviations. The ZDC notified my supervisor and I was instructed to stay clear of R-4009. No action was taken against me at this time and I continued to work the position.

I RECEIVED OVER MRB FOR BWI, ACR X NEEDED TO DEVIATE FOR WX AND WOULDN'T TURN TOWARDS THE FILED RTE, THE DEV WAS APPROVED. AS ACR X PROGRESSED MANY POINT OUTS AND APPREQ'S WERE NECESSARY TO ENSURE SEPARATION FROM OTHER SURROUNDING SECTORS. A CTR CTLR HAD CALLED ON THE LAND LINE AND REMINDED ME OF THE AREA BEING ACTIVE (R-4009) TO 12500 AND ACR X WAS AT 11000. I TOLD HIM I FORGOT ABOUT IT BEING ACTIVE. I GUESS AFTER WORKING THESE ACFT THROUGH THE WX AND NOT REALLY BEING ABLE TO GO ON COURSE IN THE HEAT OF THE MOMENT I FORGOT ABOUT THE R-4009. ALSO, AN ARR RUSH FROM ZNY WAS IN PROGRESS AND IT WAS ANOTHER SECTOR TO COORD WITH, NY WAS DSNDING FROM FL'S TO 10000 AND I WAS DEVIATING AT 11000. IT WAS VERY COMPLEX AND COMPLICATED WITH WX AND DEVS. THE ZDC NOTIFIED MY SUPVR AND I WAS INSTRUCTED TO STAY CLR OF R-4009. NO ACTION WAS TAKEN AGAINST ME AT THIS TIME AND I CONTINUED TO WORK THE POS.
