Narrative:
Msp tower cleared us for immediate takeoff 'aircraft on 4 mi final.' we took the runway, advanced power control levers and we were asked are we rolling? We replied we're rolling. At approximately 60 KTS we heard a partial transmission: exit next left. We did not hear a side number by them. We were passing 80 KTS. Takeoff was continued and the traffic on final was told to go around. Upon reaching our destination, the captain phoned the msp control tower and talked to both the supervisor and the on duty controller. They admitted they cut it too close and safety was not compromised.
